The artists from the City of Tshwane/ Pretoria are touring in the U.S. as part of the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities’ Sister City International Arts Grant.
Artists: Vangi Gantsho, Phomolo "Flex" Sekamotho, Bianca Mashyle, Ishmael "Phiziks" Sibiya, Sphephelo "ZuluBoy" Mfundo, Refilwe Majoko, Rolland "Simpi" Motaung, and Lenah Mashiya.
While in D.C., they will be hosting the 2015 Louder Than a Bomb DMV Teen Poetry Slam Festival with the national poetry and social justice nonprofit, Split This Rock, and working with youth programs in local high schools.
April's DC Youth Slam Team Poetry event is held in conjunction with the April Gallery Show, Black Lives/ White Light at ReCreative Spaces DC.

ReCreative Spaces, located near Brookland, is a new space in NE, created in partnership with The Menkiti Group, for people to gather and share their passion for art of all kinds!
