To celebrate June as Caribbean American Heritage month, BloomBars and TransAfrica present... Frantz Fanon: His Life, His Struggle, His Work (2001, 52 min) view film trailer, by Cheikh Djemai – traces the short and intense life of Frantz Fanon, a Martinique-born French psychiatrist, philosopher, writer and revolutionary, who was one of the great thinkers of the 20th century. Fanon's writings had a profound impact on civil rights, anti-colonialism, and black consciousness movements around the world. (In French and Arabic with English subtitles). The screening will be followed by a Q&A discussion hosted by Mwiza Munthali, the Public Outreach Director of TransAfrica.
