Anacostia Arts Center Poetry Slam
Hosted by DCYST's own "Zayy The Rapper"
6:30pm - 9:00pm
Free, open to all ages for audience
Performers must be 21 or under

The DC Youth Slam Team is going to compete at the Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam Festival next week, so the team will be the featured poets at this slam, showcasing the pieces they're bringing to BNV.  This is an open poetry slam for all teens and those 21 or under in the DMV area. Bring two poems to perform, each less than 3 mins long.

You can catch that Circulator bus from Howard Rd and get off at the stop right after it turns right onto Good Hope Rd, or pick it up from Eastern Market Metro on 8th St SE by the Starbucks)

The lovely and talented Flo Anito plays along with Ross Farquhar and Zack Parkman at District 2 Bar and Grille, where bartender Rob O'Neil Klein (formerly of Chief Ike's) has moved to. District 2 is over on Wisconsin Ave near the Cathedral.
