PAST: PANEL: A bit heavy but worth noting- Learn more about Sexual Violence Against Jewish Women during the Holocaust TUES, May 3rd 7:30pm $11-$9

Panel Discussion at the DCJCC
Sexual Violence against Jewish Women during the Holocaust
Tuesday, May 3rd
7:30pm
$9 members, $11 general

Note: Though this event is slightly over $10 if you are not a member of the DCJCC I feel that the topics being discussed are important and worth mentioning.

Rochelle Saidel, an editor of the book Sexual Violence against Jewish Women during the Holocaust, and two contributors, Professor Eva Fogelman and University Distinguished Professor Emerita S. Lillian Kremer, will discuss their ground-breaking anthology, whose topics include rape, forced prostitution, assaults on childbearing, artistic representations of sexual violence, and psychological insights into survivor trauma. Panel will be moderated by Dr. Myrna Goldenberg.

"Using testimonies, Nazi documents, memoirs, and literary and film interpretations, this volume broadens and deepens our comprehension of rape and other forms of sexual violence during the Holocaust, challenging claims that Jewish women were not sexually violated and revealing the sexual violence committed in ghettos and in hiding."
