What is a Site Specific Choreography?
S
ite-specific choreography is dance that is created to be performed in a certain place. The choreographer takes the location into account while creating the dance piece, bringing dance into the real world. Site specific dances take place outside, inside, in parks, in bathrooms, in sculpture gardens, in museums, in small closets, on the street, film projected on walls, or even in real time on-line; anything outside the typical concert stage.
