It’s the Third Thursday of the month already - which means that it’s WVSA’s Articulate Gallery’s monthly Open House at 16th & L St, NW. This month they are also hosting a special Holiday Sale - where you can find super discounted art works as well as holiday cards, gift wrap, jewelry, and ornaments on sale - til 7 p.m. Jazz
Over in Chinatown, the Smithsonian American Art Museum hosts their monthly “Take Five!” event from 5pm-8pm with live music from the Bay Jazz Project - led by pianist Sean Lane, with Seth Kibel on sax, Bob Abbott, bass, Justine Miller, vocals and trumpet and Wes Crawford on drums - as they play seasonal tunes with a lot of soul in the fabulous Kogod courtyard.

The Embassy of Haiti hosts a free film screening of Lift Up a documentary that follows two young brothers, Clifford Muse and Huguens Jean, as they return to a post earthquake Haiti, the country of their birth, to pay their final respects and fulfill a promise to their grandfather. This event will take place at 2311 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, near Dupont Circle, and is free and open to the public. Best to arrive early to ensure seating.
