PAST: Discussion about Chimurenga Music and Dancer Nora Chipaumire with Ethnomusicologist at UMD this THURS, Feb 24th at 7:00pm, Free
Ethnomusicology professor Fernando Rios will provide historical context on the early development of chimurenga music in the years of the Zimbabwean liberation struggle.
Note: This event is a pre-performance discussion for the Chipaumire's new multi-media performance, lions will roar, which will be performed at 8:00pm. Tickets to that show are $30 for those interested.
