Speaking of Art... second lecture
“Allographic Drawing” Talk with
Artist and theorist John E. Penny
Monday, February 21st
6:30pm
Free

The Stamp Gallery is pleased to present the second installment of the artist lecture and performance series, Speaking of Art... Allographic art is a term first introduced by American philosopher Nelson Goodman to distinguish between autographic – being peculiar to an individual – and allographic – meaning any other form of notation that is not autographic. Penny will discuss ‘allographic drawing’ as a conceptual tool to aid in understanding a broad range of contemporary art production and the attitude underpinning it.
