Join BloomBars and Compassion Over Killing as they celebrate VegWeek 2013 (April 22-28), with the presentation of… "Vegucated" (view trailer) (2010, 76 min), by Marisa Miller Wolfson – follows three meat- and cheese-loving New Yorkers, who agree to adopt a vegan diet for six weeks. ()

Vegucated is an award-winning documentary that follows our group of New Yorkers who try a six-week vegan diet. There's Brian, the bacon-loving bachelor who eats out all the time, Ellen, the single mom who prefers comedy to cooking, and Tesla, the college student who avoids vegetables and bans beans. They have no idea that so much more than steak is at stake and that the fate of the world may fall on their plates.

After the screening, there will be a Q&A discussion facilitated by Elena Johnson – Special Projects Manager with the DC offices of Compassion Over Killing. She’ll talk about the film, her organization and the benefits of a Vegan lifestyle.
