The role of fine arts in the creation of puppets and marionettes; the art of the puppet show; and the effect of the puppetry on contemporary visual art--these are the themes this exhibit will string along. Hours: Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri – 10am-4pm, Wed – 10am-9pm, Sat – 10am-3pm, Closed Sun

Arijit Das: Cloud Mapping
at the Artisphere in Rosslyn, VA
Free

In the Works in Progress Gallery, Arijit will draw on one wall while a camera captures the flow of the audience in front of the drawing. The resulting interplay of drawing and movement will be projected onto the opposing wall as an emerging, real-time, animated mural. The project, entitled Cloud Mapping, is a study of movement, stillness, and the practice of photo-bombing.
