The bike ride will begin at BicycleSPACE in Shaw and will travel to Kingman Island on the Anacostia River for a river clean-up. The ride will be followed by an indoor screening of "Chasing Ice" (admission: $10) at the Anacostia Arts Center, with frozen treats, chilled drinks, chillout music and a bike-themed auction.
Proceeds will benefit Living Classrooms, a nonprofit that provides hands-on education and job training for youth, using urban, natural, and maritime resources as "living classrooms." Special thanks to National Geographic Channels for making this presentation possible.
