Re-Imagining the Holidays Tree Lighting Celebration

Artist Karl Unnasch’s 35-foot-tall public art installation made of chimes, ribbons, bells and pinwheels is unveiled at Downtown Silver Spring’s annual twist on the tree lighting celebration. Hosted by 94.7 Fresh FM’s Tommy McFly, the festivities include face painting, giveaways, an interactive workshop from Kid Museum and live performances by members of the Maryland Youth Ballet, the University of Maryland’s Generics and Montgomery College’s B Natural Group.
