The holiday season will be aglow as four international artists bring their public art displays, using lights as their medium, to Georgetown for a week-long festival inspired by the world-renowned Fête des Lumières, Festival of Lights, in Lyon, France.  

Alliance Française de Washington D.C, Georgetown BID, Art Soiree Productions, EDF (Elecricite de France), SPAIN arts & culture, The JBG Companies, and Wallonie-Bruxelles International are proud to bring this world-renowned celebration to Georgetown for the festival's U.S. premiere!

Throughout the Week:
  • Art Installations, 6:00pm - 10:00pm
  • “Floating Lights” and “Ciudad Habitada,” will remain on display throughout the festival. 
  • Georgetown Holiday Window Competition - Neighborhood merchants create holiday-themed window displays using only four different materials for the second annual competition.  
  • *New this year: lights will be added as a fifth material in honor of the Fête des Lumières.  Location: Storefronts of Georgetown. More info here.
