Get a hug, Give a hug! Swing by Dupont Circle and look for the Free Hugs signs. Join in or swing by for a hug. Last year they gave out over 1,000 hugs in an hour in celebration of World Happiness Day. Join the community on facebook here and learn more Action for Happiness here.

Celebrate Spring: 108 Sun Salutations and Live Kirtan! with Annie Shiel and Gita's Dream ॐ Kirtan
at Georgetown Yoga close to Foggy Bottom

All proceeds benefit survivors of sex trafficking in India through the work Gita's Dream. Join Annie on the equinox to celebrate spring and salute the sun, along with live music from the Kirtan group Gita's Dream! 108 is a symbolic number in many yoga traditions, and it's traditional to perform 108 sun salutations, or surya namaskara, to celebrate the change of seasons. All levels welcome, and if you feel that you've done enough salutes, we welcome you to take rest and enjoy the music or chant along! Sun salutations to be followed by music, snacks and merriment with your yoga community!

Come hear Tim Kreider, essayist and cartoonist, read from a Not-Yet-Published work, tentatively entitled "I Wrote This Book Because I Love You," which should be released sometime next year. In the meantime, they will have copies of his most recent book, "We Learn Nothing."
