Nonviolent Communication (NVC), or Collaborative Communication, is a powerful tool for resolving and mediating interpersonal, intra-personal, organizational, and inter-group conflicts. It is used worldwide by parents, teachers, doctors, social workers, managers, and others to improve their work and home life. The practice of NVC can help us understand ourselves more fully, provide us with a sense of power and choice in our lives, and open our hearts to compassionately connect and collaborate with others. This day-long public event will bring together a team of DC-area NVC trainers and facilitators to offer numerous interactive workshops on a variety of topics for participants to choose from, including introductory and advanced NVC sessions.

Spring Equinox Yoga Mala
Celebrate the equinox and welcome spring at this seasonal yoga mala at this donation based global practice led by Sherri Ta. The Mala will include 108 sun salutations (12 rounds of 9), offering an optional yin pose in between each set. Finish the practice with some Kirtan (singing songs) and then end with a short meditation. The yoga mala is a physically challenging practice. At the same time, the repetition is meditative in nature.
