On March 26, 2012 James Cameron, the explorer and director of “Avatar,” took a remarkable submarine called the DeepSea Challenger to the deepest place on Earth. This Tuesday, Cameron and members of his expedition will be at the Woodrow Wilson Plaza with the DeepSea Challenger. The public is invited to be a part of this historic event as the DeepSea Challenger continues its cross-country journey to its final home at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution in Massachusetts.
