"Poetry in Bloom is a monthly poetry writing group facilitated by local teaching artists. We plant the seeds for new poetry by free-writing using writing prompts, sharing our work, and getting some practice reading aloud. No experience necessary (but paper and pen are). Please note our new monthly day and time-- first Sundays of the month from 5 to 6pm."
Guest facilitator: Brittany Fonte holds an MFA in Creative Writing, Fiction; she teaches writing, fiction, and poetry at the university level. Her first collection, Buddha in My Belly, is now out. Her prose poetry and fiction have been published in many journals and magazines, and she was nominated for "Best of the Web" in 2011. You can read more about her here.
