Sonic Landscapes: An Evening with Lulacruza

Enjoy an evening of nu folk with the Latin American duo Lulacruza from Colombia and Argentina! Also enjoy visuals and local, organic refreshments and snacks. Lulacruza weaves female vocals, South American instruments, found sound objects and field recordings through electronic manipulation. Alejandra Ortiz and Luis Maurette, make "primal songs which combine improvising, channeling and exploring acoustics and vibration."

Metro: Columbia Heights and walk about 15-18 minutes or so, or take a bus. The Sitar Center is across from Harris Teeter. You can take the 42 bus from Dupont Circle to Ontario Rd and walk down to Kalorama, turn left and walk a block or take the S2 or S4 bus along 16th St to Euclid and walk downhill on Kalorama.
