COLORMOB! at Freedom Plaza
Nation Athletics' Music & Giving Festival
Saturday, August 17th
12:00pm - 10:00pm or so
Free
Enjoy carnival games, fun competitions, non-profit fair, battle of the bands, DJs, music and more! Attendees are encouraged to wear red, white or blue in honor of Talia Castellano, the 13 year old cover girl and you-tube sensation you might have seen on Ellen, who sadly lost her battle with neuroblastoma and leukemia on July 16th, 2013. Help fulfill #25 on her bucket list "Sticky Note a Car" at 4:00pm (#MOBthePLAZA).
Donations of non-perishable food, books, and toys are welcome, as are monetary donations.
This event is organized by Nation Athletics, whose goal is to help train, support and celebrate student-athletes who compete with purpose! The student-athletes from NATIONRed, NATIONWhite and NATIONBlue have taken their love for service to the next level with this event! After preparing meals, gathering 126 bags of clothing, and hosting the random games event, the student-athletes will host over 20 organizations, businesses and teams on Freedom Plaza in DC. Come on out and enjoy the festivities. Learn more about their work here.
