The Torpedo Factory Art Center is open 10am-5pm New Year's Eve. Starting at 2pm, visitors may enjoy family-friendly art activities in the main hall and in The Art League Gallery. Discover Alexandria's salt-glazed stoneware pottery and create your own take-home designs on paper using markers and paint in the Alexandria Archaeology Museum.

That night, the Torpedo Factory transforms into a concert venue for First Night Alexandria ticket-holders (note: tickets are $20, kids 12 and under are free). There will also be fireworks over the river beginning just before midnight which you can view from the waterfront.

Note: You do not have to pay to see the fireworks, but you must have a First Night Badge to attend any of the other First Night performances. Best viewing is anywhere along the river from Oronoco Bay Park to Waterfront Park. Some of the display will be visible from the steps of the Masonic Memorial but the best viewing will be close to the river.
