DC's Dynamic Art Duo - and married couple - Matt Sesow and Dana Ellyn are at it again with a new show at Marx Cafe in Mt Pleasant.
Dana: "I'll be showing paintings from my new series inspired by the Cultural Tourism DC's Mount Pleasant Heritage Trail. The neighborhood is rich with history and inspiration including the house where Bo Diddley lived in the summer of 1962, the site where Teddy Roosevelt often skinny dipped, and a former refuge and reformatory for 'fallen women'. From obscure factoids illustrated on small canvas to epic moments in history pain."

Matt: "I'll have a series of all new "Marx-inspired" paintings in the show, all in frames, and priced such that my Proletariat comrades can afford one of my original etchings..."
