In commemoration of Holocaust Remembrance Day, the Embassy of the Czech Republic presents Phoenix from the Ashes: Terezin in Words and Music featuring Judith Lynn Stillman (composer and pianist, The Julliard School, BM, MM and DMA) and Lori Phillips (soprano, The Metropolitan Opera). The program, which features Phoenix from the Ashes, a song cycle by Stillman, based upon poetry from Vedem: The Secret Publication by the Boys of Terezin, also includes selected music by Viktor Ullmann, Gideon Klein, and Ilse Weber.
