Family-friendly, Free! To register for the Mp3 Experiment, RSVP on Facebook here
To get a sense of what this event is all about (it's sort of hard to explain - way more fun to watch!) check out this video of "The Mp3 Experiment Ten" where over 7,000 people dressed as tourists pressed play simultaneously and listened to an mp3 file filled with ridiculous instructions at Manhattan's South Street Seaport in New York!
Come and be a part of the next Mp3 Experiment in DC on the National Mall. Over 400 attendees are expected to participate in flash mob-like unique and fun event! This family friendly event will take place during the final weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival, shortly after the Parade.
The DC Experiment's 400 anticipated attendees will receive superhero capes displaying the phrase “Be Super” – Vocus' 2014 theme – as they join in a fun countdown to Demand Success 2014 a two-day marketing and public relations conference that will take place on June 5-6, 2014 at the Gaylord just outside of DC. Vocus is a local, DC-area business and leading provider of cloud-based marketing and public relations software, based in Beltsville, MD.
From Improv Everywhere, the New York City-based prank collective that causes popular scenes of chaos and joy in public places, Mp3 Experiment is a participatory performance where attendees follow instructions via headphones and engage in simultaneous activities like dancing, giving high fives, and freeze tag. Created in 2001 by Charlie Todd, Improv Everywhere has successfully executed more than 100 of these events. Mp3 Experiments are now a staple in New York City, attracting over 2,000 participants in the most recent.
