Regular meditation has been shown to promote tranquility and relaxation, and to lower stress levels. All levels of meditation practice are welcome, especially beginners! Learn how meditation can help to reduce stress and improve the quality of your life at this free, three-part workshop on Wednesday nights at the beautiful Southeast Library right by the Eastern Market metro.

The workshop will be led by David Newcomb of Science of SpiritualityDC Chapter, which offers free meditation workshops throughout the Mid-Atlantic region, including the DC area. David is a long-time meditator. He'll share some simple and effective meditation techniques during this free workshop and be there to answer any questions you may have.

About the facilitator: Author, musician, teacher and long-time D.C. resident David Newcomb has been mediating for many years. He worked for as a contract consultant specializing in construction contract disputes until his retirement in 2010. David is a published author, and has written three stage plays and numerous poems. His more recent work includes a collection of spiritual songs, Satsangi Symphony and he is currently working on a musical which, like his meditation practice, focuses on spreading the message of love, unity and peace through meditation and service
