"Dance has been a fundamental part of Korean culture and society for millennia, from the royal courts of the Joseon Dynasty to the festivals of the common people. The performers and musicians of Chonbuk National University and the Hong Seunguk Dance Company have kept these traditions alive and will present a diverse overview of spirited, deeply felt Korean dances and music at this special event." Dances and Performers include: Salp’uri Chum: Hong Seung-uk, Taepyeong mu, Sogo Chum (Small Drum Dance), Dae-gum Sanjo, Mu nyeo chum (Female shaman Dance), Fan-dance, Jinsoe dance and Drum dance.
