"Kizuna is a Washington, DC-based taiko (Japanese drumming) trio, whose members Kristen Koyama, Paul Bodnar and Mark Rooney collectively bring 30+ years of diverse taiko experience to the stage. At its core, however, Kizuna is simply a few good people who think there is nothing better than playing good taiko with good friends, and then sharing that experience with a good audience. As performers, they seek to pay tribute not only to the awesome synergy of sound and dynamic movement that distinguishes taiko as an artform, but also to the spirit of kizuna, the bonds of friendship, that is the foundation of the taiko community in North America."
