Join the Ballou Poetry Club, the DC Youth Slam Team, and emcee Mr. Gabriel "Asheru" Benn for a spoken word performance poetry competition, otherwise known as a slam. Open to DC high school students, the East of the River Poetry Slam will bring together DC's talented teens in an Olympic style battle for the title of East of the River Slam Champion.
