Calvary Presents… announces its next concert event, “Rumors of Spring,” as part of their 150th Anniversary Celebration. There will be a pre-concert reception starting at 6:00pm in the chapel, concert begins at 7:00pm. This all-duet program showcases music written for the female voice by Brahms, Dvorak, Schumann and Mendelssohn and includes selections from Dvorak’s Moravian Duets Op. 20 and 32, all music with texts hinting at the spring that we all hope is just around the corner.
This performance is a benefit for the Christ House (in Adams Morgan), an organization working to provide comprehensive health care to sick, homeless men and women from DC, and to assist them in addressing critical issues to help break the cycle of homelessness.
