Celebrate Martin Luther King, Jr on MLK Day at the AFI this Monday. Free Film Screening of "King: A Filmed Record... Montgomery to Memphis" (Dir. Sidney Lumet, Joseph L. Mankiewicz; SCR/PROD Ely Landau, Richard Kaplan. US, 1970, b&w, 185 min. Not Rated) This film is a riveting compilation of documentary footage of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., from the Montgomery bus boycott to the "I Have a Dream" speech at the Lincoln Memorial, from the dogs of Selma to the Nobel Prize and the fateful motel balcony in Memphis.
