For the third time, Art All Night DC: Nuit Blanche, a free overnight arts festival featuring live performances and art installations, will fill the streets of Shaw! This year the festival expands across the city with the inclusion of four additional neighborhoods! Shaw will have the largest number of venues, artists, and performances.

In addition to Shaw, the following neighborhoods will also be participating this year: Dupont CircleCongress HeightsH Street NE and North Capitol - where the Art Soiree party will be.

This year an entire floor of the former Wonder Bread Factory on S Street will be filled with art and music once again. For the first time Events DC’s Carnegie Library on Mount Vernon Square will participate with live music and a Silent Disco! There will also be more than two dozen other indoor and outdoor venues in the area that will be hosting art exhibitions and performances. Come on out and enjoy painting, photography, music, dance, sculpture, poetry, fashion, music, video projections, and much more!

Nuit Blanche is an all-night exploration and celebration of art, which began in Paris. Nuit Blanche DC – now in its third edition – is an innovative project that has the ability to bring an artistic and culturally vibrant nightlife to an area looking to expand its creative economy. Nuit Blanche galvanizes museums, galleries, and other cultural organizations to remain open overnight free of charge, essentially uniting the neighborhood into a free-flowing art space.
