The H Street Festival is an annual street festival designed to showcase the unique qualities of this vibrant community. The event is a part of the revitalization strategy to bring attention to the developing arts and entertainment district spanning 10 blocks of H Street NE. The 2014 festival will feature more than 500 performers and artists on 14 staging areas spread throughout the event. Performances will range from jazz, pop and gospel music to fitness demonstrations, a “skills on wheels” performance and interactive art displays. Plus, you can enjoy an array of local, regional and international cuisine, shopping, arts exhibits, educational events, seminars and conversations with local entrepreneurs, artists and community organizations.
H Street Main Street will also launch their first mobile app just in time for the H Street Festival. The app will allow visitors to keep abreast of H Street Main Street activities and stay connected to the Corridor. Once downloaded, visitors can tap on the H Street Festival icon and get a birds eye view of the Festival grounds. They will be able to identify stages, performers and major activities. Featured businesses will also be labeled. The app will be available for both iPhones and Android phones next week. Search for H Street Main Street.
