Since its inception in 1978, the Takoma Park Folk Festival has been a community affair, organized by volunteers from the Takoma Park area. The Takoma Park Folk Festival continues to be an event by and for the community of Takoma Park, and its all-volunteer organizing committee and performers maintain the legacy of founder Sam Abbott. This year there will be 7 stages with 50 or so acts performing, all free!

Metro: Takoma, it's about .9 miles from the metro, you can walk, bike or take the free shuttle bus there!
Free shuttle buses will run between the Festival and the Takoma Met ro - pick up at the kiss and ride - and the Montgomery College East Garage from 10:00am - 7:00pm. If you're driving, please park in the garage.
