The Black L.U.V. (love, unity & vision) Festival was established in 1997 by artists in the historic U Street area. The festival is devoted to social change with a desire to uplift the DC creative community using cultural arts as a vehicle to inform and enlighten. Topics include: education, social injustice, healthcare -HIV/AIDS tests will be available- and others that those in under-served communities and neighborhoods may face.
