Howard University is pleased to present "Musical Tribute to Mandela," a free jazz concert featuring the legendary trumpeter Hugh Masekela and pianist Larry Willis at Howard University's Cramton Auditorium. Additional artists include the Howard University Jazztet with Fred Irby, vocalist Akua Allrich and Afro Blue. The concert is the finale of a free day-long symposium marking the day Nelson Mandela was released from prison on Robben Island in 1990.
