Join WSC Avant Bard for their first ever meeting of the Dark-Day Play Readers' Club, a book club for theatre lovers! The DDPRC is a brand-new reading group that meets monthly to read and discuss plays being produced in the Washington, DC area. Then, for the full theatrical experience, we attend the production (as a group or on your own time), and put everything together. Their first play is Virginia Woolf's gender-bending literary classic "Orlando" (Note: The final Pay-What-You-Can night will be on Tuesday, February 25th at 7:30pm + all Saturday matinees at 2:00pm are also PWYC during the entire run) adapted for the stage by Sara Ruhl, and produced by WSC Avant Bard. Since this is the first ever meeting, there is no required reading - just show up, and you will learn all there is to know about this modernist masterpiece.
