Every Tuesday around 7 pm, BloomBars screens Indie Films, most often documentaries and films that touch on social issues. Join fellow film buffs for a screening followed by a discussion with talking points about the film. Filmmakers, directors and subject matter experts join the discussion when possible. Suggested donation for this event is $8 - $10. Free popcorn and refreshments also provided.


Five Days, Five Nights is based ased on a novel by Álvaro Cunhal. Set in 1949 Portugal under right-wing government control, this drama follows a 19-year-old political fugitive and the resourceful but mysterious older man who agrees to help him. (Portuguese w/ English subtitles). Followed by a discussion and Q&A with director, José Fonseca e Costa, from Portugal, via Skype!
