Film Screening is part of the Iranian Film Festival 2013 at the Freer, which runs Friday, Janurary 25th -  Sunday, February 24th

The Freer’s 17th annual Iranian Film Festival is cosponsored by the ILEX Foundation, with additional funding from the Iran Endowment Fund. It is curated by Tom Vick of the Freer and Sackler Galleries; Carter Long of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; and Marian Luntz of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. All films are in Persian with English subtitles unless otherwise indicated.

About the film: "A Modest Reception" A couple from Tehran distributes bags of money to people in an impoverished town, but what seems like an act of generosity is actually something much more perverse and puzzling. (Dir.: Mani Haghighi, Iran, 2012, 100 min.)

*Max of two tickets per person given starting 1 hour before showtime,  first-come, first-served basis
