Mellow Mushroom launches Tyke Time with a family friendly event featuring face painting and corn hole for the kids and drink specials for adults. Tyke Time will be held every Monday-Friday from 4:00pm - 6:30pm, where Kids Eat Free with the purchase of an adult entrée.

Mumbo Sauce is an art exhibition planned in response to Pump Me Up – D.C. subculture of the 1980s, an art exhibition at the Corcoran Gallery of Art curated by Roger Gastman that opens at the museum February 22, 2013. The exhibition will be an exploration and commentary on how the environment of Go-Go, graffiti, punk, hardcore, graphic design and fine art has influenced their work.

"April Opening Reception at Touchstone Gallery for “Journey to Lo Manthang” by Leslie Johnston. New series of paintings reflecting the trek to Lo Manthang, Nepal. “Pagan Dreams” Ceremonial Constructions by Janet Wheeler Pagan dreams about ceremonial artifacts celebrating strange rites from some ancient culture? Well… the objects in this exhibit might well be."

Live Music at BloomBars in Columbia Heights
All ages, by donation, please donate as you are able
Musicians, and Maryland natives, Sticky Mulligan and David Alderdice return from Colorado to perform at Bloombars. DC-based band French Street, featuring musicians Faheem Khemani, Ranjani Prabhakar and Seth Spaulding; with vocals, strings, bass and drums, opens the show.

New Magazine Launch Party at Mad Momos in Columbia Heights
The Intentional Launch Party!

$8 ticket only, $15 ticket + first issue of the magazine (cover price $12) 
Alternatively, tickets are $10 at the door, but space is limited
New DC-based magazine, The Intentional Quarterly, invites you to celebrate the launch of the first issue. This event will be hosted at mad momos' beautiful, expansive venue, including both floors and plenty of outdoor space. Come lend a hand with interactive art installations and dance to live music by local band SHARK WEEK. You may very well be photographed, so suggested attire is celebratory.
