GRAMMY-nominated banjo scholar Stephen Wade will present a free lecture at the Library of Congress as part of the Benjamin A. Botkin Lecture Series, exploring the historical and personal links that informed his recent, GRAMMY-nominated album, Banjo Diary: Lessons from Tradition (Smithsonian Folkways) and its companion book, The Beautiful Music All Around Us: Field Recordings and the American Experience (University of Illinois Press).
