PAST: Off Work for Presidents Day? See Presidents Day Celebrations + Scroll down to see ON VIEW: posts - listed on Jan 31st - Most Galleries are closed on Mondays but the Museums are open!

Today you can celebrate the day off - if you have it - at the museums. Top two picks for today would be for the Ai Weiwei exhibit at the Hirshhorn, which leaves at the end of this week, and for the permanent exhibit of America's Presidents on view at the National Portrait Gallery in Chinatown. Both museums are free!

Here are two special events commemorating Presidents Day:

Today! Monday, February 18th
10:00am - 12:00pm
$10, $5 for kids and members

"Celebrate our country's first President at Tudor Place, containing the largest collection of Washington artifacts outside Mount Vernon. Enjoy self-guided tours through the historic mansion and a special exhibit of rare objects tied to George Washington. In 2013, for the first time, these will include a gold, 1741 pocket watch, recently donated to Tudor Place and conserved by experts after 270 years in private hands."
