Anacostia Arts Center presents a curated exhibition of DC-area quilters. Working primarily with local powerhouse quilt organizations, DC Modern Quilt Guild and Daughters of Dorcas "Stitched DC" will showcase two dozen quilts in a variety of styles and sizes around the Center's Lounge and common areas. DC Modern Design+Build presents a new show from photographer Michael K. Wilkinson. "DC Lo-Fi" seeks to capitalize on two points of familiarity for many DC residents: urban vignettes focused on the disappearing signs of an ever-aging yet ever-changing city, and the ubiquitous square format of Instagram with its recognizable filters. Presented on high-gloss metal panels, the show gorgeously bridges the gap between the ephemeral "social-digital" format and the permanence of a piece of art on the wall.
