2014 Anniversary Concert with all of the U.S. Army Bands Performing Groups

"Celebrate 92 years serving the nation through music. All of the band’s performing groups will be featured in this star-spangled spectacular! Fanfares by The U.S. Army Herald Trumpets, re-creation of a State Dinner at The White House by The U.S. Army Strings are just a few of the highlights. Patriotic and classical favorites, a rock orchestra performing music by “The Who,” The Army Chorus with music of the Beach Boys, The U.S. Army Voices with a medley of Beatles songs, and much more is woven together with video and live action".

3 Stars Brewing Company hosts an evening with brewing historian and beer writer, Ron Pattinson. Ron will be discussing his new book, "The Home Brewer's Guide to Vintage Beer." A limited number of copies of the book will be available for purchase (for the suggested retail price of $24.99) & Ron will be available for signing. BURP members have brewed a few of the recipes from Ron's book & these beers will be served as part of Ron's talk. Food will be available for purchase as well.

Literature/Music: The Flight & Lightness: Poetry with Contemporary music  at The Residence of the Embassy of Gabonese Republic

This event is a unique creation where poetry and contemporary music converge. The poems are drawn from Sylviane Le Pollès Experton’s published work “Entre deux rives, une larme hésite” (In between the shores a tear hesitates). The original music is composed by Patrick Defossez and Anne-Gabriel Debaecker. Poetry performed by Sylviane Le Pollès Eperton and Georges Collinet Music composed and performed by Patrick Defossez (composer and pianist) Anne – Gabriel de Baecker (electroacoustic artist) Ignacio Alcover (cellist from the Kennedy Center Orchestra).
