BloomBars screens 5 short films, followed by discussions with the filmmakers. Read short film descriptions on the facebook invite here.

Films include: “Hopes and Schemes,” “My View + You?”, “A Cup of Coffee,” “Shaw Speaks,” and “Ichiban Reggae Japan.” The films will explore topics such as gentrification, personal perceptions and ambitions, and Japan’s Reggae movement. Preview the short "Hopes and Schemes" here.

A discussion with local filmmakers Najma Nuriddin, Lawrence Green, Mark Shelton, Roan Ross and Avery “Byword” Smith - moderated by host, Risen Spivey of Bowie, Maryland’s public access channel, will follow.
