Film screening of American Outrage, which documents two Native American women's fight against the U.S. government for sovereignty and land rights, at BloomBars, on 11th at Kenyon, in Columbia Heights.
Two Authors at Politics and Prose. Alan Khazei, co-founder of City Year discusses his new book Big Citizenship, about social entrepreneurship. He'll be joined by Bill Shore, founder and director of Share Our Strength, who will discuss his new book The Imaginations Of Unreasonable Men, about the effort to develop a malaria vaccine. To get there you can take the L2 bus along Conn Ave or walk up the hill about 10-15 minutes from Van Ness Metro.
