If you want to suggest a new route or share your comments about the DC Circulator - come to a meeting tonight at the Martin Luther King Libraryr at 9th & G St, NW!
I am not sure if I can make it tonight but I hope some of you might suggest an upper Wisconsin Avenue Route that goes to Woodley and Dupont as well (maybe even Cleveland Park) to compensate for the super infrequent cross town lines with metro buses.
The line I envision would connect the Adams Morgan-Woodley Park Circulator Route and go down to Dupont Circle and back along Mass Ave turn north on Wisconsin, covering the Cathedral-Glover Park area around and loop back around along the 96 busline route (or possibly go further north on Wisconsin connect to Cleveland Park and then go down Conn Ave from there) the Cathedral and turn on Mass Ave and make a loop going up Connecticut Ave and then back across to Wisconsin Ave.
One of my best friends lives over that way and it is such a hassle to get to her since the 96 is the only line that goes across from Adams Morgan and the lines that run along Mass Ave are ok during rush hour but really bad otherwise, once every half-hour or so. I've waited for 55 minutes once for the 96, it's really a much needed route to connect folks who live on Wisconsin Avenue and are under-served by crosstown bus lines.
This loop makes perfect sense. Hope you might also encourage them to consider it! I might not be able to go so if someone attends, would you please get the name and email of someone there who I can connect with and send it my way? That would be super!
