First Friday's in Dupont is a collaborative effort to strengthen arts and culture in the beautiful, multi-cultural neighborhood that is Dupont Circle. On the First Friday of every month galleries in our community open their doors to multitudes of art enthusiasts from all walks of life for simultaneous openings.
Various Galleries throughout Dupont, many of which are along R St between the metro and 21st St, just follow the crowds. You can start at WPA or Hillyer, they may have a map there of the galleries, though the last time I saw one it was out of date. I found the map you see on this post, which also lists some info about some galleries, here and Dupont Circle Arts also has a list of galleries on the right sidebar you can refer to.
