You're invited to a staged reading presented by Scena Theatre  and in conjunction with “Zeitgeist DC: New Playwrights from Austria, Germany and Switzerland”.
this Tuesday at the Goethe-Institut. Contemporary play-writer Theresia Walser will be present for a staged reading of her play A Little Calm Before the Storm. A discussion and reception will follow the reading.

About the play: "Three actors are preparing for a panel discussion on how to portray Hitler as a theatrical character. Because the moderator is not yet there, they start chatting about their profession on the empty stage. But is the stage really empty? Isn't it filled with questions even before they start acting? With the experience of acting ahead of them, a debate on the principles of theater follows: since Hitler was a real person, does theater have to try to give a precise copy of reality on stage? While arguing about naturalistic forms of presentation, video art and pop music, they suddenly realize that they themselves have become part of a theatrical performance… "
