Final Film of the Series

The final film in the U St Harrison Recreation Movie Series this year will take place at Harrison Recreation Center, on V Street between 13th and 14th Streets, NW. Screening of The Pelican Brief, the 1993 classic film that features Julia Roberts and Denzel Washington where a law student writing a brief on the assassinations of two Supreme Court justices, finds bullets flying in her direction and she turns to a reporter for help. This features scenes in our own’s Ben Chili Bowl on U Street.
Local businesses Marvin, The Gibson, Patty Boom Boom, and Blackbyrd are providing a DJ starting at 7:00pm. Screening begins after sundown (at around 8:00pm). All movies are shown outdoors in a family-friendly environment and are free and open to the public. You may want to bring a blanket to sit on, and sweater/coat to keep warm. Sorry, dogs are not allowed in the park.
