Come on out to Fiesta DC! and celebrate Latino culture this Sunday! For many years this festival was held in Mt Pleasant, but the festival has outgrown the space so this year they are moving to Pennsylvania Avenue. There will be a Parade of Nations, multiple stages for live music and other performances, vendors and more! You'll also have a chance to learn more about Live Well DC, an initiative of the DC Department of Health intended to educate the public and increase public awareness of the importance of making healthy lifestyle choices. Stay connected to Live Well DC on facebook and @LiveWellDC on twitter, and save the date for Saturday, October 6th, Free Yoga in Malcolm X/ Meridian Hill Park from 9:00am - 12:00pm.

"The Latino Festival in Washington DC, also known as Fiesta DC, is an annual celebration highlighting the Latino culture with a Parade of Nations, a children’s festival, a science fair, a diplomatic pavilion for embassies and consulates, arts & crafts, and international cuisine. The free festival is huge and takes over the neighborhood bringing together dozens of non profit organizations, community leaders, and members of the corporate and private sector. The festival coincides with Hispanic Heritage Month"

From the Washington Post, via Prince of Petworth post: “Fiesta D.C. will be held this year [Sept. 23] on Pennsylvania Avenue after city leaders and event organizers agreed that the event has grown so large it can no longer be held in Mount Pleasant.” You can see photos from previous year’s Fiesta here, here, here and here
