Local producer Marika Partridge started radio station KCAW in Sitka, Alaska in 1982. The station is now celebrating 30 great years of community radio there. Now Marika is working on another new station: Takoma Radio. How can you create a low-power FM community station? What are some easy techniques for citizens to use for production? Marika will share her thoughts and Brandy Doyle, policy director for Prometheus Radio Project, will speak more broadly about the community radio movement. Hosted by Emily Friedman.
*RSVP requested to (202) 289-1200 ext. 166 or rsvp@washington.goethe.org
